'76 Audi 80 B1 Avant - What's it worth?

Been offered this by a guy at work.
1 owner, immaculate and 40k from new.
Been stored the past 8 years and only brought out to be cleaned and M.O.T'd.

The big question is.....What would be a reasonable price to pay?

Tried offering £300 already with no luck.
Had a look on a few classic car sites but couldn't find any for sale.

Coxy's the man for this I'd say... looks like a top find though - easily a grand's worth, probably more for rarity alone.

What does he thinks it's worth?
I guess you need to know that as he's obviously not prepared to give it away.
It will have some value from a nostalgia perspective as peviously mentioned, coupled with the condition, but any car is only worth as much as buyers are willing to pay.

Problem with classic Audis is that there is a really limited market. Don't pay over the odds so £500 maybe? Difficult one...

That car is hugely rare, even when new. Most with that body were branded as the VW Passat Variant. The Audi version is virtually unheard of (even at Audi).

Not something I ever thought about wanting but it has to be worth £700 - £800 if the underneath matches the top for condition...

Would definitely stand out in a crowd...

That era of Audi had no seat belt buckles, there was a bar that clamped the seat belt down, correct ?
