    Porsche with identity crisis..

Ok heard of mr2 ferrari's and more recently peugeot ferrari's

But why-o-why would you do this to a porsche

Should've really let the old 6ugger age gracefully

But instead its pride and honour has been pooed on

Looks like they ran out of creative flair once they got forward of the doors!

    Bizarre.

Never knew they made porsche 944 convertables with the early 924 dash, always thought the cabriolet had the later oval dash... (the oval dash came out in about december '85 i believe ...)

Also it looks as if it started off life as a coupe/targa! look at the door, it continues up the side of the windscreen soround!

Looks pretty well done at first glance, then you notice the lack of the original roof(chop job)?, the "finer" details, such, as Lagomike points out, the remains of the front door frame, probably to try and retain a little structural rigidity/roll over protection.

I'll bet that's a proper shonky deathtrap close up!

I'm sure that retaining the forward part of the window frame is so the door closes against the A pillar with the window up!

Whether it's a death trap or not, is immaterial - I'm just concerned as to why people insist on trying to make cars look like something they are not, and failing miserably?!!
