It's my towcar... it does everything and no one knows what its is.

It can go to the tip full of rubbish

It can return 30 mpg if driven very carefully

And it can kill most things on the road and no one expects it

...and this year (because my Imp's not ready) it's going hillclimbing.

Up against the big fook off scoobs n evo's ... and I might be last but I'll be the only S2 in the championship and an 'estate' at that (the wife can't get over the racing estate bit )

It will sound superb and anyway, I cycle to work :yikes

I've spent the last 6 months searching auto trader and the internet for another motor and have finnaly reached the conclusion that apart from all the rare metal I could never afford nothing beats the S2 for shere all-round spec.

I've been debating which car I was going to swap for something different for ages now; I always thought it would be the S2 but have finnaly decided to sell the G40. I've got to fix it up a bit but these are going for more than I paid for it 7 years ago!!! To me that's amazing! I love my little pocket-rocket but I think that an Elise or a VX220 Turbo might be fun. However, like the S2, the funnyest thing you will ever see is the look of someone who thinks their car is the mutts when my little G40 rockets past them at the lights!

Anyway, long-live the S2 and all who sail in her!!!

I kept mine to finish it before selling it. Not worth to sell it in the current shape and loose all those cash spent on it even though i wont be getting half the spent sum back ever.
One thing is sure though, the sound of the I5 roaring from an old looking avant (lazy old family car for most people) when passing those who think they own the left lane on the highway, is indeed priceless.

The downside is all the cost and the time it takes to get it to run again, especially when your not able to go into the garage everyday..

But im keeping it still from the good memories I have with it. For now.

Its the shear class, and the way it makes you feel in some way special. Definitely not the smell coming from the passenger seat, must drive slower.

I like have my S2 because well for many reasons as others have already put it here....

                          A. You can put a **** loads in the back with the seats down or up
                          B. It starts first time after being for a month or so
                          C. Very rare
                          D. Nobody has a clue what an S2 is or can do
                          E. The sound of an I5 engine
                          F. Its 4 wheel drive
and so on, you get the picture....

What a car!!!! The Audi S2

                            like most others on here,
                            its rare,especially in cricket green
                            its fast enough[for me anyway]
i can`t afford to run a vanquish `s` or buy one
not many people know what it is till you fly past
i had a ur for 5 years and totally regreted getting shut so i`m going to keep it, just got to convince myself i can afford an rs2 as well

I'm damned well finishing mine and keeping it! It's the first really fast car I've had and it was sort of scary to start with - now I just want it to be a little more scary!

And yes when they see it most people still say "is that a V6 then?" and I have to go through the routine of explaining...

...which still puts me in (as Kryton would call it) Smug Mode

It's not better than sex, but it runs it a close second.
