True that. Important to keep in mind that gasoline is virtually free of charge in the US.
Your fuel costs are definitely higher than in North America. However, please don't think they are giving it away. In Canada, 1 Litre of 89 ((RON+MON)/2) is now $1.30/L but 94 that I need for my AAN is $1.45/L. Based on a trip to Sweden that I just made (April 16 to 23), that is about 1/2 of the Swedish cost (about 13 sek/L). Costs in the US are a bit less than Canada but they approaching $4/US gal (3.78 L).
Its all bad but its not going to get better. EVAR.

yep, i think some bargains will come out, but still not many, due to oil price, and they begin to be quite old now, new Audi coupe A5 makes them look now from the previous generation really.
It s only when u own an S2 for few years that you realize how good they are built and how much there is a potential to develop it into a real beast. And not a lot of car enthusiast did own an S2 during their driving life ! lol

True, compared to Euro/Norwegian prices (and we actually supply the fuel for most of the US East Coast) US prices are still ridiculously low, but the price increase in the US has been extreme over the past years. I used to pay $0.90 a gallon in Utah back in the mid-90's. Fuel cost in Norway was at that time approx. $6 a gallon, while it is approx. $ 10/gallon right now. In other words, the relative increase has been much bigger Stateside. I pay "only" $ 6.30/gallon for E85.

More likely, the seller wants more and refused to sell at the finish price. Obviously not heard of a reserve.
If I was the winning bidder and the guy did that to me i'd be a bit annoyed. The guy I got my 20v quattro sport off wanted £1k when I phoned him up before the auction ended, I got it for £200 by waiting.
Blimey! The car has developed a 6th gear in a space of days!
Maybe the seller read my post on getting an ABY...he should get a higher price this time round

Sucks cause I'm trying to find either an S2 sedan or an S2/RS2 avant in southern Sweden shortly... Will also travel to Denmark or northern Germany
