    RS2 Insurance Company Recommendations

    Hi everyone,

I'm picking up my RS2 in a couple of weeks time and would like to get my insurance sorted out beforehand.

I'm just wondering if anyone can recommend a good insurance company I can try for a quote.

As a rough guide, I'm 28 years old and have 6 years no claims bonus, license held for 10 years. No accidents, claims or convictions. The RS2 I'm getting is LHD and stock throughout.

I did a quick run though confused.com and got about £800 fully comp. I'd like to try and bring that down a bit if I can.

    Thanks in advance.

    Adam

I was quoted £3000 even with a 75% discount for age/accident free driving. Found that on the steep side. Was lucky and got my RS2 insured for S2 rate (RS2 not listed in their papers), so ended up paying approx. £600 fully comp.
Not the same country as you, so probably not too helpful , but do check around as rates can vary quite a bit.

Im paying £66/m on my RS2, thats through Admiral on a multi car policy. I pay about £600 a year for my S2.
Am 24 with 4 years no claims.

Also try Lancaster, they can be very good as they do it as a classic car so its cheaper.

Admiral and Elephant are by far the cheapest for me. (24, 3 years' no claims, LHD RS2)

                  Bo bought one for 4k!

I'm with Greenlight and they seem quite good.

I may next year go back to Admiral for a multicar insurance as i'm selling the golf for another car which wouldn't go down too well on this forum *cough*

Never had one, even though i'm know in the R5 circles here and there due to my close friends and I don't want one, it's a coke can with an engine.

                              I'm leaving the conversation there
