Jonus brushed the dust off the old 90Q this weekend and attended the DHB event in denmark. Not an personal best due to some NOS/fuel delivery problems midways (causing the bad end speeds), but he managed to set a couple of 9,6 runs and a 10.0 with 1,42 60ft and low 185kmh end speed.

Onboard video from one of the 9,6 runs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cH5UgEBVYLI

          Thank You Repo,

everything under 10 sec is seriously FAST&POWERFUL.
Best wishes to your car, would be nice to see a real quattro with 5'er in the 8's.

If not seriously TOPSECRET,what max RPM do you allow to Tomi's engine?

            9000rpm for now.

Waiting for Norwegians to strike back. Jonus has some aces in the sleeve I think, also Martinsson has new motor?

I do understand Swedish and a bit of Norwegian, but Zatzy.com is a bit over my head with a zillion posts per a day and a 500 page project topics...

Its official - these Scandic Audi owners are bit mad... Amazingly close to 8s now - serious $$$, committment and energy being spent to get under 10 in my opinion. Sure its just a 1/4mile drag but you gotta respect the kind of power levels, and driver reflexes, needed for those kind of results...

Hey Repo, a very nice topic!

Congrats on the Tomi's S2! I'm a huge audi and of course at most 5-pot fan and it makes me soooo proud to see such a fast audis kicking some a**es round the globe, especially in Europe (You Scandinavians are the greatest)!

I am also building my own S2, because I was so inspired for a number of years now by my friends RS2.... inspired of watching it at the drag races and even more when I got the honor and was driven in it.

And now you'll be wondering a lil' bit I think, LOL ...while my friend (RS2 10,41@228 owner) who is actually building my S2 now is a good friend of You, yes thats Edo from SLO, hehe.

We're actually waiting now for my rods and some other stuff from FIN...

Unfortunately I'm very busy working abroad, but I'll find the time and will try to stay in-tune at this great topic.

                      Take care guys!

I am sure. Look @ the link. http://gallery.voodoo-people.com/album1212
Martinsson drove a 9.75 at the same strip that weekend.

Your link is the right one, thank you!
Look at this link: http://www.hkracing.se/bilder/2007/infor/bv.htm It shows the rear-end rebuild to 4-link. Almost the same concept as Hacke was building in his aubergine S2.

Visited the King of Europe sprints this weekend.
                              Finally an event close by.
Eklund did a 9.4 this weekend.

Had a chat with his team. What a neat car! Sleekest enginebay i've ever seen on a dragcar.
Imagine this car with sequential gearbox & optimised rear-end to stop the weighttransfer during launch. Could presumably do high 8's?

This Hungarian CQ did a sub-10'er to.

The track was really slippery.. located at former airfieldbase with no previous events held there. After they tried to glue the track it seemed like the times raised in stead of dropped
Eventually times dropped on the sunday. Still very slippery. A friend with a 600hp FWD Golf made 400 meter burnouts on his Hoosiers

                                Hi,

unfortunately we broke 2 right front outer CV joint shafts, the last one came from Hungary during the night, that was a 1400km run for the guys.So with only 3 wheel drive we had no chance either
                                Maybe next time!

Congrats to Jens and his team, great racing!
