    RS2 Service Key

I've got a key with my recently purchased RS2 which has a white symbol on it like a spanner. I'm assuming this is the service key.

Can anyone tell me exactly what this key does and how it differs from the normal key?

My car's going in to have an alarm fitted tomorrow and I *think* I've heard from somewhere that it only allows you to drive in a "nurse home" manner. How true is this?

If that's the case then I'll be giving that key to the alarm fitter as I always fear it will get a ragging if I leave the car with someone because of what it is!

          Ah right!

So there's nothing I can do about them taking it for a "spirited" drive in my absence then!!

                Wastegate frequency valve.

It is behind the headlight (drivers side on RHD car), it has an electrical connector and 3 other vacuum hoses connected to it.
You may need to remove the headlight to access it (1 screw on trim between lamp and bumper, then 4 screws to remove lamp)

Unplug the electrical connector, NOT any of the vacuum hoses!
