I'd hope that you'd get that for it, imo it should make that.

You could try remind him or send him a pm and see what happens.

I was thinking today about it alot, and came to the conclusion that I would be better off selling mine and buying the red 90 saloon for sale on here with RS2 setup.... believe me, if I thought I could sell mine for the money needed to buy it, it would be up for sale right now!
tbh if you spoke to ammo he might be interested in your's now or you'd get a good price for yours especially how it looks now.

Yeah my last coupe gt went to sal to break in exchange for aload of spares for the s2. I had the space to keep it but tbh I want to sort the s2 out first.

I got the coupe gt as I was going to build a ur q out of a shell I know of. Might still do that at some point.

I am trying to get to go down and see all these cars my mate has

    I see !

Great, so you're safe from a mental health point of view. It 's just that your Avant is pretty much "spot on" at present , especially after Steve's work on it.

If my two looked half as good, I'd be well pleased. Both 95 Avants in the same colour as yours, so more than a passing interest in yours.

    Kind regards.

    Nice idea, but mad !

Dest , you'd be off your head to break your Avant. It's pretty much perfect now.

The heartache and grief, a tight budget, together with no garage would mean you'd wish you'd never started it. While you'd be doing it, you'll have no 5 cylinder turbo to drive when you want to.

With petrol the way it is, if one worries about petrol costs it doesn't make sense to have an S2 and be spending money on upgrading its engine performance?

I know it's always fun to fantasise, but I can't see this idea as being viable, sorry to be so harsh, but ....

Anyway, this is all Jas's fault with his brilliant Sooty project and that factory photo of the red S2 Saloon half way through the thread.

Will you do a S2 saloon register?

Going to get my coat before I'm banned for being too aggressive.

Post written just in case you were serious?

    Kind regards.

I've a mate who lives in swindon who I speak to every so often but is hard to get hold of at times currently has:

9x large garages full of type 85 spares
15 moted and running type 85's from coupe's, quattros and saloons.

Its just when I get to speak to him to see what he's got, he buys them as he says they are good investments for the future as I tried asking if he wanted to sell one before. Odd bits he don't mind but think he wants to keep all the cars.

plus i've just been offered a swap for a type 85 coupe quattro

personally if id find a good conditioned 80 B4 quattro,i would swap all over in an instance and probably use something like a diesel on the s2 avant for the misses to use back and forth the supermarket.
But you need funds and time for that so...
