Deleted threads

Can I just ask why one of my threads (a joke) was deleted?

I'm not too bothered about it as it was just a joke but I would have liked to know why as I thought I had posted it in the correct section, it was not a bad joke and I know someone had commented on it and also wondered where it has gone?

This isn't the first time that something like this has happened now, i'm not trying to start an arguement or something just would like to know.

not sure Pete, I saw the your joke post but seems to have clean gone, i cant even trace a deleted thread with a reason (as a mod would normally see) so sorry cant really help.

normally if a post is deleted we would ping the poster with a reason or more if it was a serious breech of the rules of the roost...?

The post was not rude or imflamatry, so much for free speach. I guess its a sign of the overtly PC age that we live in.

and was basically a joke that I got sent which was ammusing.

Well I'm flummoxxed - can't find a trace of it so far... Must be some kinda glitch, unless a mod accidentally deleted it and hasn't owned up yet... Pretty sure that if you select the option for permanent delete that it really is gone forever. I'm not the vbulletin guru here, but I dont believe there is a trashcan where these things hide in. Weird alright. Post it up again if it was funny - I could use a pheckin laff.

Maybe it could be narrowed down to a mod that lives in a council house or a homeless mod who wanted to enter the competition and then found out it was only a joke... nowt wrong with council houses btw... never saw post another S2 mystery
