  • Recommendations for good paint/body shop?

Due to a really bad car wash, I need recommendations of good paint/body shops which are reasonably accessible from anywhere M40 (M25 end) up to c. Banbury.

After trying and failing to polish out the scratches they caused, the company who did the damage have agreed to pay in full for respraying the bonnet. I just need to get a couple of quotes for the work.

    Anyone got paint/body shop recommendations?

    Cheers,

    Ck.

    Hi Erik,

I forgot to say in my PM, I used Ridgeway VW in Wantage. Excellent service and a very good paint man there... (That was 2 years ago though)

    Cheers,

    Steve.

Whatever you do, don't use Classic Restorations in Essex.
They did my car and the results were exactly as they say on the tin - CLASSIC!
on closer recent inspection, a nice dent in the A pillar was noticed. Evidently it seems, they tried prising the mirror off with a screwdriver as they could not get it off. If only they used the impliment properly and unsrewed the three screws holding it on? The mind boggles where these people come from.
Hope this helps narrow down your search?????
      Cheers

Thanks for the thoughts! Essex is a little far off the M40 for me to consider, so I think it's fair to say that my car is safe from Classic Restorations.
