advice on 3b and aby

hi all very new here have read varioous posts ,and was just wondering as i have sold my car and am looking for a cheap/ish s2...there is a 3b in like a 5 mile radius from me for 1800.00 in green,with leather in black,113k,new belts and tensioners etc etc in last 100 miles... all my plans were to 3" exhaust,make the wastegate external,and homefry the ecu,i have heard the homefries on a 3b will only run 1 bar because of the map sensor...???also if the wastegate pipe is cut to external will the engine still run ok as the ecu runs the boost???sorry if questions sound stupid but new and am learning...
also how reliable would you say these cars are 3b and aby,cheers nigel...

depending where in Herts you are you may have seen my 3B around, it has 225k on it and still running well, with a car this age you are going to have to face the fact that things are going to wear out with age, but other than that they are pretty bullet proof.
