I could really use some help

I am in the process of writing a book and well "writers block" is not a good enough description for my current ailment on the matter.

You see, I don't really understand the Car jargon and well, the book is all about Ross' Audi S2 and the upgrade, the engine failure and all that jazz. (the world needs to know about this, and I guess you can call it closure?)

I need to know some things that you just love about your cars. Could you perhaps describe what makes the car vibrations, and the different roaring sounds *I know it's not just the engine*

I want to do a good job so I'm doing my homework here.

    Thanks in advance.

I hope it helps you both to draw a line under this episode.

Bit confused about the question tbh, no offence but are you writing a book for print or a kind of scrapbook type thing?(so to speak)

What makes our cars so special?
It starts with the solid thump of the heavy door shutting you into the silent cocoon of leather and steel, the quality of the fittings damping the sound of your expectant breath as you settle into the soft welcoming glow of the cockpit. As you slot the 4 ringed key into the dashboard and twist it half a turn, the computer lights with a reassuring OK, as the interior light softly fades, and the faint sound of the fuel pump priming signals the first stirrings of the beast. Swiftly turning the stereo volume down as the cacophony left from your last sojourn breaks the calm, you turn the key fully and the car softly shudders into life with a offbeat thrum, the purring engine sending small shivers through the car as the ECU adjusts the idle. You can't resist giving the hinged accelerator a touch of pressure and feeling the faint twist of torque as the engine hammers up a few thousand revs, and relishing in the popping from the exhaust as the revs die back to the steady hum of idle...

...does that give you a starting point?
                    Nothing feels fast for long...

Haha sad as it may be - even that description turns me on. Hell yeah, that's MY man. lol.

Keep the descriptions coming - maybe share your racing stories, what it feels like when the car swings out at a corner or when you overtake a mercedes on the Nurbring - thingy.
