  • New series of 5th gear - Better?

Just watched the first of the new series of 5th gear and I think it has improved.

It just seemed a bit more professional with Tom Ford and that other guy presenting.

Jason and Tiff in the Scooby and Mitzy were hilarious. (Although I still find Tiff a little painful!)

    What do you guys think?

    Tiff is a legend FACT

New series was good and as you say it's looks more professional although being set at the Ace cafe was a USP. The new presenter seems to add to the show and they've got a really strong line up of great drivers and still represent the stranger car lover with that Johny bloke who's always doing random things. I can't help but always draw parallels with the TG format but that works so why not copy it a bit. I used to like the head to head they started the old series off with, it was good fun watching VBH or Needellllll thrashing 2 similar cars and there were a few great cars on there, Escy Cosworth & Lotus Carlton for starters.

5th gear certainly has come of age, the last series was good, lets hope this one tailors for the void in proper motoring journalism left by the increasingly farsical (sp.) TG with Clarkson et al 's japes and tomfoolery at every turn, goot TV but weak on the motoring front at times. Sideways and fast track action please.

    Just my £2.99

I like the escort cossie's (not as much as a 3door or sapp) but absolutely HATE the carlton

Tiff may be a pompous **** but he knows his *****!! Personally give me Topgear any day, it may be staged and silly but is all the more entertaining for it,
