Racing, york raceway bank holiday monday.

It's the GTI spectacular at york on the 25th so i'll definately be taking the golf down there to show them how it's done

I know some people on the forum wanted to see the golf going down the strip so i'm just giving you prior notice, plus i'll be using nitrous and some very flat tyres so it should be a good show.

Hopefully i can put some faces to you people

See if you can keep up with the jetcar

Steve scott from A1 rallysport did a 9ish second pass on his old engine (cosworth engine inside a mk6 fiesta) whilst the jet car got a 6 sec

Injecting it before the TB and i'll be using some 25hp jets from as soon as i drop the clutch until i hit 1.5bar of boost then the ecu will turn it off (antilag really) and its 2.2 bar all the way . the problem with nitrous is the primative way it's injected, the fuel jet is obviously a fixed size orifice but the fuel flow increases as the boost pressure increases which messes with the AFR when you've spent hours tuning it.

            I'm using scat rods.

Anyone car race, just remember your helmet, driving licence and a long sleeve top.

It's £10 to get in and £30 to race.

I am uploading a few photos of the car and will post them once online.

You really do have to see this car in real life to appreciate what a work of art it is! Not only that it goes like s**t off a shovel, here he can be seen giving Grant Parker a serious run for his money, which is high praise indeed when you consider how much time and developemnt has gone into Grant's car.

Not sure what time you did in this run Baz but i know Grant did a 10.3@147mph and you weren't far behing.

What went wrong in your last run, you seemed to back off half way down the strip?
