ah, i forgot. which year was it? ´97?

You´re right, this wasn´t correct from schu.

Please ingnore the word schumacher in my post.

    -----------

Nevertheless Hewis Lamiltons statement isn´t ok, we can agree there i think. ( no matter what schu did in the past)

Not even Fernando said such things...

No, we just see Schuey wading down the pit lane to have a fight with Coulthard at Spa a few years ago, much more sporting...

Lewis needs to get some discipline and then he'll be great, Massa needs some consistency and Raikonnen needs both. If they were all on top of their game then it'll be an awesopme series and with Vettel showing what he's made of, Glock getting involved and Alonso getting hungrier each race it should be great.

Hamilton v. Webber was without excuse, suprised Webber didn't down a few tinnies and have it out with him post race

Hamilton v. Glock could be excused but is a bit 50:50 as to whether he was being too agressive, expecially given the conditions. Loved the wanchor sign from the Toymotor mechanic on the TV, that was hilarious!

Schumacher makes Hamilton look like mother Teresa but there's plenty of time, Schuey took a while to master the pitting manouver as emplyed by the Police or so I gather after watching "The World's (read USA) scariest Police helicopter chase action crash show" with some white haired, luminous toothed bloke...

some challengers for the next 2 years?

    here they are:

    Kimi with Ferrari
    Heikki with Mercedes
    Felipe with Ferrari
Sebastian Vettel in the hopefully faster Red Bull, and from 2010 in the Ferrari or BMW.

Don´t know yet who is going to race the BMW´s next year, but these guys will definetely race lewis, FOR SURE.

Not only because of the fact that BMW is the team with the biggest experience concerning the KERS yet but also because the car is becoming faster and faster. ( one producer of chassis and engine, perhaps the main reason why it is going to become faster)

Next year it will definetely be a fight between 3 teams and BMW is definetely not going to be the slowest of these in 2009.

I´ll bet that next year the BMWs are more often in front than in 2008, perhaps with Fernando und Robert Kubica??

If this happens that way, Fernando is the first choice concerning championship.

Consequently there are going to be at least 6 drivers where Lewis is going to race with. Especially the fight between Fernando in a fast car and Lewis in a good car is going to be very funny where Lewis has to show what he´s able to.

Another thing about Hewis Lamilton i don´t like, is the following statement: "Kimi´s got no balls..." this is not in the sense of sport, and such things you´ve never heard from other great drivers in the past ( Schumacher, Prost, Senna, whoever...) or now.

Wolfgang I am a Ferrari tifoso since my early days and for me a Ferrari win is always a great delight, and Massa has been a favourite of mine since he started in F1 but you have to give credit to Lewis as a driver, just like any other. And he is good, I do not rate him as high as some of the previous generations of drivers. At the moment there is really no one else that can keep up with him, will be Sebastian the challanger? I hope so.

Not a patch on Schumacer in his day though eh
i haven´t said something about Schu eh???

He will win anyhow so is not a problem. Great race by him and a spectacular win by Vettel. Well done.
Who is he? Felipe Massa, Sebastian Vettel, Fernando Alonso??

If you wanted to say something about Hamilton above then please tell me why he was nearly passed by Mark Webber in the end of the race? ( who is racing a slow Red Bull...)

Thing is though that Hamilton had much more downforce than all others this was the reason why he was so good in the middle of the race where he also gots not much fuel in the car at that time.

So forget about it we will see who´s the money on after the last race.

i´m very delighted for Sebastian Vettel who showed today who is the next great champion after Michael Schumacher. And i promise that he is going to do so.

Wolfgang.......Schumacher/Hill for the championship. You cant go slaggin off lewis for being a bad driver when you had the likes of schumacher doing what we did for years and getting away with it

What a race, could not wish for better, if the penalty to Lewis last weekend was found debetable, I take my hat of to FIA and the stewards for making F1 so much more spectacular and exciting. He will win anyhow so is not a problem. Great race by him and a spectacular win by Vettel. Well done.
    Loved it!!!!!!!!

ALL the ex world champions interviewed (Jackie Stewart, Niki Lauda etc) say it was a travesty of justice and several team principles have stated it was a bad decision
Don´t refer to Niki Lauda, he is also "involved" in that theme. His son races for Mercedes in the DTM and so Niki has his own "Mercedes-opinion"...

@Wolfgang: In both of your explanations above, you state that the team are responsible, not the drivers. However if the team was at fault, why was Massa fined by the stewards and not Ferrari?

When other teams are at fault, it is often the driver who is punished either at the race or at the next race with a grid demotion. It is an issue of inconsistant decision making and that is worse than the rumours of favouritism or corruption.

BTW, Sutil DID hit the wall, buy only gently. The fact remains he was run off his line, in a dangerous way, where there are people walking around!

You also suggest that some drivers agree with the penalty.....of course the political ones do! However, the rest of the drivers (Trulli, Rosberg, Bourdais etc) have all stated that whilst they understand the penalty (for political reasons ) they think it was too harsh. ALL the ex world champions interviewed (Jackie Stewart, Niki Lauda etc) say it was a travesty of justice and several team principles have stated it was a bad decision (Pat Symonds said 'I feel very, very sorry for Lewis. I think he has been very hard done by'). Even Schumachers brother Ralf (isn't he a German?) said it was a bad decision and damaging for F1!

Also, the FIA how now stated to the drivers that in the event of a driver cutting a chicane and gaining a position, he not only has to give that place back but should also wait for another corner before he could attempt to retake it. This is the first time the FIA have EVER stated this and it comes 5 days after Spa.......nice retrospective rule making there

    Cheers n

    Si

Yeah, should be an awesome GP tomorrow if they can find some more speed. They have the advantage of being able to choose strategy rather than going into parc ferme tonight and having to "run what you brung" tomorrow. A great chance for Massa and Kovalienen to step up and show their respective team no.1s how to do it! And I hope they both do... until the chequered flag where Hamilton overtakes them both on the final straight
