These are hybrids so are recirc and BOV in one. Some are adjustable like Bo's, I think the GFB ones are just 50/50.

I just fancy some more noise, it's already pretty loud with the modified airbox but there's always room for improvement, especially if it annoys Si.

If I don't like it I'll sell it. My car only has 300bhp so it needs to sound fast at least

it doesnt matter if you have open dv, because the open wg is louder

and all drives with open wg of course? (i do)

Just got the GFB FX through the door and this thing is an absolute work of art! It's adjustable for spring pressure and for noise so I can leave it fully recirc most of the time and have it either hybrid or VTA when I get the urge... Only downside is that I need to buy 2 adaptors for it so the bargain price has now gone up £25

Just fitted my GFB valve in place of the Forge on. It's a big old beasty, took a bit of rearrangement down below...

Anyway, tried it in a sort of 50:50 mode with the recirc and atmospheric sections open. The noise is really good, just slightly more shrill than my modified airbox and not going to scare any old ladies. Was getting a little popping on the rapplication of WOT but only on full bore changes.

Then I turned it up to 11... the noise is hilarious, it's so loud I couldn't stop laughing. Too loud for anything other than showing off on track and the back firing on gear change was quite bad, not what you want with a new sport cat.

So overall I'm happy, got the valve for a good price, new they're £200+ and am happy with it. Not sure what I'm going to do with teh Forge one yet, got a few more tests to do.

Hello friends.
I bought one turbo smart valve like this but it isn´t works correctly.
I mount this in the form if it´s stronger but all the time the valve work like a BO, not a DV and hard driving like a BO. Ok, my car is with Paul´s repro but...
Now one friend with a stock S2 have this valve mounted on and he´s very happy! He feel that the car is working better than with the bosch original valve.

So it's always venting to atmosphere? Don't you need to block off that side of the DV?

In my car everytime sound "ptichssss".
I mount one rim with the spring and when it work better, but no if I like

Are you running a cone filter? They make the OE Bosch valve sound loud. I'm not too sure on the adjustments you have on the Turbosmart ones, the GFB has a slider that enables 100% recirc to 100% Vent To Atmosphere (VTA) with 11 steps inbetween. about 60 recirc : 40 VTA was best.
