    A4 Dash Display issue

Hi chaps, off topic this one.

1999 A4 1.8 SE, the display on the clocks is not showing CD track, MPG any more (and some other features), but still is showing doors open and the OK sign.

Im thinking loose connection somewhere? anyone BTDT? (or a diagram of the connection at hand?)

the screen is split into a yellow section at top, and red underneath.. just seems anything from trip computer/stereo doesn't display.. but if I open a door when the engine's running it shows the doors open etc

in the red bit where the CD/temp/MPG etc would be

Have you inadvertently pressed the button under the right stalk - it conveniently switches the display off...

propably he did that Hiltoa , that is the only way to disable the multifunction display , cos u see the open door signs , so u don thave any dead pixels in your display..

We've all been there - it's a rite of passage for all A4 owners.
