      pay attention boys and girls...

      A is for air,
      F is for fuel,
      and R is for ratio.

      Ok...repeat after me...
      Carlos.

On the look out for less bits for my s2 saloon project. Now supporting myself by shooting for my food. www.airgunforum.co.uk

OK so now I know what you're talking about. You mean a special voltmeter to measure the output from the lamda probe calibrated to read out the instantaneous air/fuel ratio.

I have one still in it's box, never fitted so don't know how well it works or how useful it could be.

They are very useful, i had a AEM Uego AFR fitted to my civic type-r, it had an ouptut that links with the ecu so when your mapping you AFR can be read also

As for making one i'm not sure how you would do that, you need a wideband lambda probe for a start

how does that afr thingy work on the above link? Where is it connected to?No wideband lamda? Is it connected to the OEM lamda? I dont understand how it is hooked up.Do you think it is worthwhile item to use?

Output of the narrowband OXS (lambda sensor) can be displayed with a 0-1v voltmeter (high impedance).
However, why bother with that when wideband kits have become so cheap. The narrowband will really only tell you if you are richer or leaner than stoich (14.7:1).
Innovate LC-1 is thye most accurate on the market and only costs $199 (and often cheaper off approved Ebay dealers). The output of the LC-1 can be displayed with a small and inexpensive panel voltmeter.

I guess that you have the LM-1
                        The LC-1 is another story...
