    Shipping costs...USA to UK?

Looking at getting 6 LS2 coil packs from the states and they have now quoted me nearly $48 to get them to me via 'USPS First Class Mail International'. I asked first about post and was quoted $16...

Seems abit steep to me as that is just over half of what i'm paying for the coils.

    Is this figure about right?

see if you can check on ebay.com (think thats the usa ebay) and see what other people quote for sending coils.

or check some american postal websites.

Run a quote through USPS, UPS, Fedex with estimated weight (can't be more than 2-3kg all packed up) and see what it comes out at. My package from 034 weighed 10KG and that was $100, so it's certainly not cheap.

            .

Got them from http://saeparts.com/ in the end.

Worked out as $137.45 to my door, still damn cheap for 6 coils.

Carlos, i literally just got a quote for a UK customer who wants a certain brand carbon bonnet for his new E90 M3, due to the actual size (not weight obvously) shipping from states is about $800.00 (£479.00).

Grand total - this still works out about £470.00 (yes, pounds!) CHEAPER than him buying from a UK dealer who has it in stock over here.

Crazy..but kinda makes sense looking at overall price.

                  don't forget though, TAX
rule of thumb is that dollars turn to pounds
if you pay $500 for it, by the time you get it, it costs you £500
