    Batteries for RS2 key remote?

Please excuse this trivial question but does anyone know the correct type of battery (4 of them) required for my RS2 remote key?
    Any help most appreciated.
    Cheers - Andrew.

bump. i could really do with some help on this! my ur-s6 avant's key fob does not work properly, the light flashes but its very dim and i replaced the batteries with AG12's. still very dim but i am unsure of the correct type of batteries....??

when locking/unlocking the car i have to do it via the passenger door as the drivers door only locks itself.

the imobiliser flashes but i get no chirp from the alarm and no movement from the door locks. please help!!

If it is the IR remote key batteries then they are N10252201. They are listed as SR43 type batteries.

If it's been flat for a while it may be out of sync. My S2 has the IR locking and it had to be resynced when I first got it (not that I ever use the IR key as it doesn't match the locks)

To do that you need to follow the procedure in the owners manual with one exception. They make no mentino in the manual of having the ignition on which is essential so you will need two keys. I don't have the procedure to had but IIRC it is somethign like ignition on, lock car, press key button, unlock car, ignition off.

Tried resetting it! Doesn't seem to work. Would it be anything to do with the fact that the drivers door doesn't control the central locking?

It sounds like the microswitch has failed on the drivers side barrel.

Can you try it from the passenger door lock? It shouldn't make any difference which door you use.

I have had a look on ELSA for you but it only list the radio remote matching procedure for the UR-S6.

              This is as follows:

              Ignition on
              Lock doors
              Press "unlock" button
              wait 6 seconds
              Press "unlock" button
              Ignition off

It does list an IR remote mathcing procedure for the S2.

              The S2 procedure is:

              Lock doors
              Press button
              Unlock doors

I'm pretty sure this needs the ignition on at the start too so maybe worth trying out both ways.
