    S2 on winter holiday

Been busy lately and so has the car , down at ADI , back down to Nec Car show, back up home and headed further north for a wee holiday, done about 2.5k miles in 6 weeks, not one for taking a lot of pics, but the mrs took a few...

wow thats a lot of snow, never get anything as bad as that down by swindon.

glad to see your car gets used all year round considering its low milage (iirc)

did you have any sideways moments? i used to find with my type 85 cq that when changing into second it used to kick the back out towards the passenger side on snow.

I recognise the first two pics as being the road up to the Cairngorm base station, but I'm struggling to make out the third one.

full of admiration Eric that your car is as mint as it is when you actually use it in all weather

Did you get any early season turns in up there or just a trip to the bottom station? I saw that Lecht had openned for a weekend in October and was actually the first non glacier based skiing in the northern hemisphere apparently

            Hmmm Quattro+summer rubber+snow=interesting experience

            Cheers

              Way to go Eric

We had a little dusting last Sunday morning, just enough for a couple of laps of the industrial estate before the evil grit lorry appeared.

tn_DSCF0658.jpg one of the main tows, wee bit iced up

                  tn_DSCF0657.jpg The "closed" Ptarmigan

The railway's always closed this time of year for maintenance , so if you wanna get up you need to "howf it", I think we only passed another 2 people all day who took their skis up by foot

Pete, mileage is just under 59k as we speak

Thanks for that eric, its not even run in yet is it

think yours and baltiboy's must be some of the lowest milage one's in scotland afaik.

love those shots, didn't know it snowed as bad as that. We've only had one winter which has been bad which was in herts around 4 years ago and shut down pretty much everything, didn't stop me going out in the car for 8 hrs having fun with mates.

Some of us don't need to 'howf it' even without the train.....

One of my other 4x4's next to the tow in your picture (without the snow though)

Eric is a legend - drives by far the most miles to attend all sorts of forum gatherings up and down the country - even onto the wrong island sometimes... And yet depresses us all with a car in mint condition - it always looks tops. Hats off to that !!!!!!!!!!
