Switzerland is an amazing place i was there for a week hitting the hills doing a bit of mountain biking in Verbier, truly a fantastic place but bloody expensive. But spotted something interesting.
Great place Switzerland. I lived in and around Basel for 2 and a half years.
Typical run of the mill busy cities, trams, traffic jams etc. Take an hours drive and your in some of the most stunning scenery in Europe.
The first time I went up in the mountains it was simply breathtaking.
I also learned to board out there too, (albeit not very well) in Engelberg. The transition from urban to mountain tops is just fantastic to behold. I once went up and there was a huge fog blanket at about 1200m, coming out of it in the cable car was just sureal.
Fantastic place, I need to go back out there to catch up with some friends at some point. Ahhh.
It is a stunning placewell amazing,i have familey that live in Wengen. I was there over New year 2008/09. Snowed 50cm on that night...........I just love it but don't get there enough. Your right it is very expensive.
