    steering rack gaitor

Cany anyone tell me how hard it is to replace the steering rack gaitor, Mine has a split in it and it failed the MOT ahhhhhhhhhhh. I have ordered one from audi and it came to a sum total of 8.50gbp which i thought was very good value for money. Also does anyone have any ekta drawings of the bolt positions for the front headlamps??? Any help would be much appreciated.

It's not an easy job on a RHD car. Especially 3b engine as the battery is in the way. RHD is much quicker.

You just need some 17mm tools for the bolts and nuts on the steerig arm iirc. Might be worth replacing them too as the nuts are nilon lined.

The gaitor cap comes of once you have removed the two bolts. Then you can slide the gaitor off and replace it.

                  Good luck!
