looking to change our a6 (MY2001 tdi 135k miles) and the VW dealer said trade-in was.....£1500, i almost passed out lol, its in pretty good shape for its age and full history etc. Just goes to show how bad things are, even auctions failing to move stock through.

£5k seems realistic to me, it's a good one. Maybe sell the seats and wheels off separately to make a bit more. It's worth nearly £5 as standard. Just hang in there...

I'd hope so Andy,

There are several S2's on this forum that I would classify as 'mint' (a word that is banded around all too often) but yours is defintieyl in that category.

The market for performance cars is a bit rubbish now so it may pay to hang around for a while if you can.

Hope you done't have to sell though, it's a lovely car.

Ive just taken out a loan to consolidate my credit cards into one, easy monthly payment - that or buy another s2 maybe!?
