Insurance recomendations please

Can anyone recommend me to a good Insurance company well one that quotes well for upgraded BHp cars as my Avant will be getting a 360 BHP boost shortly and insurance is up now.

I realise 360bhp is in a diffrent league but Im with NUnion and have declared a 275hp chip, 3" pipes + filter and it came in at £220 fully com.

Top Tip - Add your missus as second driver - it "saved" me £70 over the original quote

Last time I tried that it up my insurance so I added my old lady which dropped it no end

Is it better to say 'Chip' or 'Re-map' to Insurance companies if your car has one?

I'm sure it was mentioned that one particular phrase had the insurers thinking of a price, doubling it and adding a zero!

Did a compare the market thing, added chipping upgrade, alloys and brake upgrade and got quoted £106.00 from Kwik Fit

Yeah he sorted me out on my Golf, top lad used to have a MK2 Turbo Golf sold it for a Corrado, dunno what the hell he's driving now though.

Couldnt agree more, wouldn't deal with anyone else. They deal with mods well. My CQ ins went down when i fitted the ABY engine. And went down £150 on my mk2 golf when i fitted a 2litre 16v engine. They include track day cover for a few days a year too!

Yeh HIC are good, for the Avant though them and Adrian Flux are useless for the birmingham postcode, Martin said he didn't why they had such a mark up.
