Are you seriously riding a "fixed wheel" bike with no gears to work!?
The rear hub has 2 sides, one has a free-wheel the other is fixed. Since this is the first racer i have ever ridden I am running the free-wheel at least until i'm used to the riding style. Single speed isn't a big issue for me. All through uni I rode a single speed bmx the 2 miles each way to uni, it was a much harder bike to cycle distance than this is.
