How much does your S2 weigh?

For comparison, as i think mine is placed on the heavy side according to all the weight tables i have seen on the net

Little things like aircon, turbo, heavy chunky seats, differences in the chassis (uncomfirmed). It all adds up!

I think the ABY gearbox will probably be heavier too. Although I wouldn't be suprised if the 90/cq20v was a little over book values too.

Only 1360kg (~3000lbs) and thats with BBS heavy wheels, with winter 15" wheels it's -20kg. I don't know why it's so light weight, but i know it came from factory without any comfort system (power windows, central lock, conditioner etc.).

According to www.carfolio.com the S2 avant (mine) should only weigh 3440lbs thats 1560kg but mine is weighing 1690kg??????

yup. My RS2 weighs around 1710Kg on a full tank.

It depends on what stuff you carry around and i suppose audi is weighing the car without any fuel and possibly other lubricants as well(oil,water fluid,windscreen washer fluids...) no other way to explain all this weight difference

Kerb weight as specified by carfolio is with fuel, oil, etc. Extra weight is probably stuff like toolkit, driver, etc.

My weight includes me, a spare wheel and some tools in the boot.

Not had it measured but guessing nearly 1600kg with some stuff in the boot and a tank of petrol. Aiming to get that down to 1400 for an ABY.

Yes the 6 speed is heavy.. I can lift a 5 speed but the six speed if hard work getting it in and out of a car boot

Hmm any idea what the difference in weight is between the 3B and ABY box's? My goal is a 3B weighing between 1250 and 1300 kilos. I have a six speed box put by as I'm not sure the five speed will take in excess of 350 Hp and 400 Nm's. If it's a big difference in weight then I'm going to avoid using it if I can.

5 speed suits a 300bhp S2 better IMO, the 6 speed 4th, 5th & 6th are too close & you don't need it with all the torque. Not sure if the B5 S4 box solves this with longer 6th etc.
