  • New boy in town

Hey guys, I have been an audi/VW fan since birth LOL!

I am currently budgeting to buy an S2, hence me finding this forum. I have to say thanks to all for being so welcoming. My current project is an old school MK2 Derby(polo)

NO I am not so young yob! I just came across this on ebay and it is incredibly clean. I have kept it old school and the next thing is a set of twin 40 DCOE webers (already have.) Daily driver is a passat B6 sport 170DPF.

I should my S2 in the next few months.

    Cheers P

      Cheers thanks steve,

I actualy bought it because it reminded me of the really oldschool audi 80's. So I have spent alot on the engine etc, now its time for my S2. Something I have been planning for a while now.

Those Polo's are great fun, looks immaculate. What have you done to the engine.

              Cheers thanks guys.

I have redone the ignition system, running a flame thrower coil, 10mm solid core racing leads. 4-2-1 branch manifold from germany, polybushed and rebuilt from suspension. lower strut brace front. 258mm vented black diamond break upgrade.G-ladder seight blocks on the front ARB. Lowered 60 mm all round. G60 steels 15X6. Straight through stailess exhaust. Polo GT head and cam. I just need to fit the twin 40 weber carbs I have. Then I will be happy with it. STD they produce 40BHP its only a 1.3. Mine is currently running 67.9bhp and 80lbf. With the carbs I should be looking at about 100bhp. Which is not bad from an NA 1.3 8V.

Thats all I plan on doing to it, as I am now after an S2, its been along time dream to own one, so I will be focusing on that I think.

Wow that's a pretty impressive spec for a Polo, bet its quick as it is, but with 100bhp it will be seriously rapid up to 80mph for a 1.3!!! Think I'd have been tempted by a G40 motor, but I guess they are like rocking horse excrement.

                          Cheers guys,

She will stay old school all the way, at the moment in "Germany" she was running 100mph in 4th she gets to about 115 in 5th. However that takes a while up to 90 its pretty quick, and have given a few cars a bit of surprise! Nothing better than lambasting saxo's
