How to ID gearbox(and other engine bits) type s2

Hellor.. '94 S2, do they have all the later type strong gearbox and the ABY engines? or are some different? How can I verify? All I know is some 6 speed are weak others are not? how to tell difference and also any other differences in engine parts etc??

Time for garage clearout, lots of spares I will never use as no one I know anymore has audi's. I have lots of bits from the same car but don't know enough to be able to identify parts well enough to advertise and can't really remember any details.

have Gearbox, piston+rods, crank, Head, diff, plus a few bits like PAS pump/starter/alternator a duel mass flywheel yada yada.. will this all be "ABY" or could it be something else? Anyone got any photo's of parts I can compare to or tell me how from any of the above i can see what it is? I'll list it all on ebay when I do and link on here for you all to bid

All 6-speeds are strong, but some have stronger(wider) first gear.

    Good information here: http://www.elektro.com/~audi/01E/

      Thankyou very much!
That is perfect, I can see the bump on the gearbox on the pictures in that link, so know where to look.

If i have a wide gear 6sp, is it safe then to assume the engine parts must be from the ABY if all from the same car?
