If you want constant boost without having to modify the engine too much, as Gazza says stack the head gaskets, and look for something like an eaton S/C. Don't bother with a rotrex type. The bosch K-Jet is actually more tuneable than you might expect, supercharging a K-Jet has been done before but I forget where I saw it. I reckon it's possible without going electric injection and timing.

Well if high compression not that easy I will look for some thigh that would give me constant boost all the way through the revs does anyone know were I can get one from thanks all for your views
For best results you should get something to enable you to map the sparks properly. Using something like Megasquirt and some coil packs you should be able to get some more out of the car than on the OE dizzy.

You can get the head skimmed a touch to increase compression but will need to map to get the best out of a larger change.

K-Jet is pretty tuneable in the right hands, just pisses more fuel in more air flow = more fuel with a metering head although it's not quite that simple for larger changes.

Best, cheapest tuning is inlet, exhaust and cams IMO or a flowed head.

Lots of options but the more work you put in the better the result with NA tuning, you can't just get 50bhp off a remap like the turbo cars can.

Hi iv already put a stainless system on with a Audi 5 branch manifold with cat buy pass pipe on does polishing the head give a lot of hp. I was also thinking of put stainless valves in but not sure if it will help any.

Regarding the cams I can’t find anything that would give me the right range
And could i have my standard ecu mapped or would i have to buy another ecu baring in mind that it’s only a standard 10v ecu thank you

No ECU on the KV engines! All mechanical. When I stripped my old KV Coupe down, all I found was a very small metal box, which could've been a very primitive ecu but only had a couple of wires attached to it so likely not.

Cam wise, if it's 10v then something in the 270 range will be perfect.

The engine is the ng model with a ecu behind the heater box same as the s2 and coupes and has and the engine is a 20valve with mechanical fuel flow but the loom and rest is still what you would find on a 10 (wiring, loom)

If the NG has an ECU then fair enough, I thought they were near identical to the KVs. What does it control? If fueling is K-Jet then I guess spark?

Not sure what it controls thought the distributor controls the spark so not that sure sorry

The dizzy has a part to play, but the ECU (if there is one) will fine tune the timing, same as the S2 3B, or the 7A.

I think these questions would be better asked on audifans.net

NG has KE- jet and has ecu for the knock sensors and basic ignition timing. bridges the gap between K-jet and EFI.

It may be mappable, but im not sure, its quite a rare system (in comparison to K-Jet) may be difficult to find people that know how??

Ok decided to put a supercharger on then with polished head wonting to do it myself does anyone know what I have to polish iv gather inlet and out let and is it worth putting any different cams in and where can I get them from. And is it worth putting good stainless valves in

If you have a look at some of the threads on here for porting and polishing there is some good pictures showing how its done etc.

sodium filled exhaust valves might already be in your head as some 7a's have had them apparantly but might be worthwhile sorting some out.
That and a compression dropping head gasket.

Gompa on audifans is supercharging a 20v so that might be a good place for some info (there is a project thread on there showing details etc with pictures)

There's not much on here about SC as all the cars are turbos. Could be better getting a 3B engine and running an SC on that, lower CR, stronger bottom end and an ECU designed for forced induction. Just my 2p.

Otherwise you'll need various parts off the 10v turbos for boost enrichment on K-Jet and something to control the sparks properly like megasquirt.

not worth it andy. it will work.

we are talking 10v here. pop over to the corrado forum for some G60 pistons. need to check the sizes though.

read on vwvortex on the G60 forum and have a look on snstuning.com.

if you get digi 1 from a G60 to run 5 injectors then thats the way to go also i think

i could spin the wheels all through 3rd on my G60
