016 Aaj Gearbox Use Or Not?

I have managed to aquire an 016 AAJ gearbox, prop, driveshafts, flanges, transfer box, gear selector mechanism from a 1986 audi 200 quattro turbo with the view of fitting it onto my 3b, what are peoples thoughts on this conversion?, i've heard its fairly awkward to do?, but doable all the same.i believe the 016 to be a fair bit stronger than the 3b box and as i will be specing my motor up to the 400bhp region soon might be a wise move or would a aby box be better, the car is to be used for fast road driving with the occassional track day at oulton park. views/ advice most welcome, cheers wez.

i would stick a 6 speed in there,too much work for the 016 imo going into an S2,flywheel/linkage are completly different plus ratio will possibly be 3:89 which means your rear diff would not match up.

AAJ tranny are 4.111......, and you may use some parts from another tranny, to change too thorsen if you want.....
the linkage are soem different, but you may use soem parts from audi 80/90....
it seems that the audi 016 are stronger then the early 6tr ones( cbl fx)
