Congrats to S-Express and best of luck to Daisfunky & Ross for their imminent arrival...
BIG babies run in my wife's gene pool - our 1st was 11lb 13oz when he was lifted out the sunroof and the 2nd bairn wasn't far off that. I kid you not... I remember a few midwifes being involved along the way to guesstimate the size as none of them could individually believe what they were seeing and feeling. Planned c-section was the only way forwards there...
Funny part was when Patrick was immediately put into the special care ward for something that needed monitoring - it wasn't serious but they had space for him - he was like four times the size of some incredibly small and fragile premature babies. I remember one nurse walked in while we were there and she asked who the monster baby belonged to - he could barely fit in the wee cubicle things they have.
Tis bizarre what you remember and what you forget along the way... The anasteciologist was a dead ringer for Harry Hill and one of the student nurses in the special care ward was an absolute babe - I mean 11/10 drop dead gorgeous from top to toe (allegedly)... Not that I noticed - someone else pointed her out - cough - LOL. Everyone else was asleep - whatz a bloke supposed to do
Definitely a life changing event though.Paul Nugent

You know why everyone on this forum seems to be having babies don't you?
Obviously, driving an S2 makes you more virile and extra-attractive to the opposite sex
So watch out Mark, you've been with your gf a LONG time, maybe you'll be getting into discussing the pros/cons of baby seats and whether to use real or disposable nappies sooner than you think......
