    Rainwater in my passenger footwell

    Hello guys

Before i signed up to the site i was doing a search on ways to cure rainwater from leaking into the footwell of my car. I found some where someone saying about there are some rain ducts that can be unblocked with a long wire i think. Anyway I cant find it again. Any pointers???

Basically when it rains i get a damp passenger footwell and it looks like it is coming in a dripping over the plastic trim in front of the door at the bottom. Are there rain holse i can try to unblock and how??? And its not coming through the roof as its dry headliner.

    Cheers guys

    Chris

i never had this on my corrado but i had a failed matrix.

basically wet carpet in the front i had in passenger and pools in the back. the corrado has a plastic mebrane under the front carpets and the water passed by there into the back when parked on a slope at home.

hope its not the martix for your own sanity. especially if its an aircon car.

A few likely causes for this:

Badly fitted windscreen with leaky A-pillar trims (worst case scenario IMO)
Leaky heater matrix (not that bad a job when you get into it TBH)
Block sunroof drains (easily sorted with some wire or something)
Badly aligned window (lets water leak in between glass and seal - window mech needs realigning)

It only happens a bit when it rains, so is this really likely to be the heater matrix? I hope not mind you it may explain why it takes ages to get any hot air into the car when i start it. I hope its not that tho. Mind you my brother has layed with heater matrix's before so im sure i can rope him into it. Also i guess in that case im lucky not to have air con

retract the sunroof and pour water down each of the drain holes and see if it runs out properly.

if it does, peel back the door seal and pour water down the edges of the a-pillar trims and see if it comes out behind where the rubber seal sits - if it does this is your problem (probably).

I've had and fixed all of the above issues on my coupe so i know how it feels dude, you have my sympathies

Badly fitted trim/seal underneath the windscreen letting water basically run into the car through the pollen filter (if you have one).

                Ck.
Shocked, exhausted, hosed, bushed, dumped, chipped, mounted, filtered, gauged, packed, intermittantly wiped and braked. I mean broken. Now, about the car...

feel for you, i have a wet drivers side footwell and it's annoying the hell out of me as yet to source the entry point. Check the scuttle trims are flush with the bottom of the window and the small rubber flap/seal is seated properly against them otherwise it allows it to pour into the interior fan well BTDT on the pasenger side.
