VAG COM weirdness

Today went to use my vag com, worked fine no probs then later in the afternoon i couldn't connect to any controller, i hadn't done anything to it just couldn't connect to anything, any ideas????

I ended up having to run it from a cd that i burnt with another copy on it,

did you unplug the interface and put it back into a different usb hole at all?mine plays up if i do that

i am also experiencing probs with vagcom on my new laptop...i think mine is down to vista compatability..any ideas??

nope i have got an older laptop using the pin plug type connnector, it never comes out of the laptop becuase vag com is all i use it for and it's on xp.
