    A few questions.

My fan comes on on my RS2 when the needle is 2 thin lines up from the thick 50 degree line, is my gauge under reading? Also my car feels a little clunky when I go over speed bumps, I have pro mounts, alloy subframe bushes and up rated engine mounts. I fancy a little more refinement, am I wishing on a star as it is older technology? Finally I am thinking of an upgarde to around 360 bhp can anyone offer advice on tuners to do it? I want to keep the driving characteristics the same as they are now though. Thanks in advance.

PS Just destroyed a Boxster on the Autobann, I couldn't help myself
You might leave the S2 fold every so often - but you'll always come back!

Not necessarily: it's just as likely if not more likely that the fan thermal switch in the bottom of the radiator is switching in early. Either you need an external temperature reader to confirm the true engine temperature or measure the resistance of the temperature sensor at the back of the block that feeds the ECU and using the charts on S2Central determine the engine temperature from that.

For refinement, suggest reverting to new OEM subframe/engine mounts.

360 BHP, you might get very close to that with an MRC remap.
Might be worth finding out when Mihnea is next in Germany and get booked in?
      RS2+ (now sold...)

Don't need Mihnea to real time map, buy the MRC high boost chips or the S2central.net homefries for the RS2

Both will give you that figure or more.

2 notches off the 50C i think it is too low for the fan to kick in and i have never found a thermal switch so low.I assume you dont have an electronic A/C to check the temperature of the thermal switch sensor... I believe that your mutli function thermal sensor on the water collector needs changing.
I had a similar issue and it was reading way low after the engine rebuild.Howver the A/C was reading 85C when that one was reading between well 70C or something.Once i put in the new one, everything came back to normal
