    KONI´s???

When i bought my car, the man who sold it said that there were KONI´s and H&R suspension on it. Took a wheel off the other day, and to my surprise i found green HR springs and black shocks... I trust the bloke not to fool me for several reasons, But has he been fooled by dahlbäck?? I have a reciept from him witch specifies a "Koni suspension kit with springs" But i dont see any koni stickers or anything. They have been on the car for 10 years, but the car feels really tight and firm. How can i see if they are KONI´s or not??

    Cheers // Kris.

The shocks screw into the struts front and rear on the Coupe so unless you undid the shocks out of the strut they will be black.

Only the shocks will be yellow if you unscrew them from the strut housing.

OK. well it feels ALOT stiffer than a standard S2 so i suppose they ar KONIS then. the thing is, the car hasn´t been used that much since early 2000s so they haven´t been used that much actually..

And also are the Green H&R Springs not fronts off an RS2 or something? (may be a bit stiffer, and also could be fronts all round, as that has been known to work well.)

if the srings are green they are probably not proper coupe H&Rs as they're blue AFAIK... ... well mine are anyway... maybe you have H&R avant front springs on the front and rear?

you should be able to measure the piston thickness on the shocks to determin what they are(i dont have dimensions for konis though)
also my new h+r springs are red
does it look lowered or standard ride height?

H&R spring colours are all over the shop to be honest in the earlier days, only the part number on them will tell you.

Green springs could be koni springs also

Would the front shocks not be top adjustable? At least this will tell you if there is something "nicer" in situ....

only off the car, you can't adjust them once installed.

Not sure about the earlier ones but the current ones are adjustable via a blade that you twist on the top, where the allen key normally goes on stock ones.

as i said tho, not sure about the earlier ones.
