    G-tech performance???

    Hi guys.
Just tested the avant(homefries custom i/c 95ron + octaneboost) today with my g-tech pro ss and got this result:
Weight is set at 1740kg (car 1620kg, me 80kg and 3/4 tank of gas)
    2. gear pull 174 kw @ 5700rpm and 200 ftlbs @ 3400rpm
    So that is about what, 174 x 1,36 + 22% drivetrain los = 288hp
    But how much torque??

    Is that right?

I use a Slightly different Calculation.
I cant recall Wher about i found this calculation, but it was from some source on the Net.

    BHP = Gtech HP + 10 / 0.82
    233 + 10 / 0.82
    = 295hp in your case

    S2 Coupe fully built.
    10.9 1/4mile 0-100 in 3.5secs
    Precision 6262 turbo

I use the same calc as this, and with the right vehicle weight have come pretty close to manufactures figures on two brand new cars.

Which gear was used for testing?
        What was the ambient temperature?

          2. gear as stated, as recomenden by g-tech, and temp was about 10` nut sure exact.

Better to test in 3rd Gear IIRC.
2nd gear does not give full boost.
Launch hard enough in 1st to trigger off the Gtech, then short quick change into 3rd and put the pedal to the floor.
This gives you a nice " DYNO Graph "

Depending on turbo size, spool will be approx 1000rpm later in 2nd vs 3rd.
Horsepower will be lower, due to more power being absorbed by rotational inertia of the rotating parts (the faster the parts are spun up, the larger the power loss). In addition comes power and especially torque loss from lower boost in 2nd.

Approx 10deg C means a correction factor of 0.978, so 231hp at the wheels. Power loss from aero drag is approx 11hp at the rpm for peak power and approx 4hp (3.5ftlb) at the rpm for peak torque.
