thinkin' on buying an S4

Hey guys... as I'm thinking on buying a UrS4 I found this one on pearl white:

Looks too simpple I mean, no seat heater, no sunroof, no electric seats, no tempomat... The body looks quiet nice instead. What I don't like are the UFOs brakes and those rims! The price is €2,500 and 195K kilometers, year 1992... dunno if it's 5 or 6spd. What do you guys say? Could be a nice option?

I hope so mate... the things I still don't like are the UFO brakes as the V8 ones and the simplicity in the interior

I think 6speed was an option in the S4, could have either. Interior is a bit plain in black, and it should have the 3 spoke steering steering wheel with the S4 badge. Carbon trim and a good clean would make a world of difference to it.

No seat heater is a shame, though i could live without the electric seats to be honest. Any time i do have to adjust the seat it seems to take a few goes to figure out which switch moves which part of the seat, there more trouble than there worth. And whats a tempomat?

As for brakes and other bits, they can all be changed so dont let that put you off the car. If the body/engine are in good shape and you like the color you could do a lot worse for the money.

Tempomat is Cruise Control
If the elecric seats are anything like the ones on B4 cars, then i'd prefer car with elecric seats. Regular manual seats don't have seat front height option, witch is a really comfortable feature.

Only thing i don't like with S4 saloons, is that the rear seat does not fold down, that renders the car nearly useless from my point of view

looking at the pics... this car has been crashed in the front left corner for sure. the front left wheel hit the bottom of the A pillar. that is also why it has the ordinary steering wheel. the bag exploded.

look carefully at the interior pics. the plastic trims in the driver side footwell are out of place. that is because the metal is still bent, and they cant be set in place.

Sküll, in 1992 there was no S-wheel with airbag. Only regular 3-spoke non airbag steering wheel or the common airbag wheel. the 3-spoke S wheel with airbag was introduced 1995, that's why some of the 1994 RS2-s had the normal airbag wheel, and not the S wheel.

Shoot... Rok what kind of Xrays do you have on your eyes!! I didn't notice that!!! :O And ZOIG...I agree whith what you said before about the rear seats!!! Well guys I have 2 other options here, the forst one is a bit weid...notice the accel pedal in that condition with 100K km??? strange... and the other one looks pretty pretty good!!! Bad thing it's 5spd !

After talking with Skull for a bit, maybe I'll buy the second S4 that is one of those rare editions half S4 and half S6, it looks pretty good and stock. If the owner takes €2,5K from me... then I'll buy it! So that price + 950euros that costs the documents stuff for 169kw . If doesn't work, I'll take the first S4 with those blue ricer things
