Gauging interest in mikalor clamps

Right guys there seems to be interest in a mikalor 2nd group buy these are for samco boost hoses only im sure other silicon ones will be the same
I can also supply custom sizes these will be on request basis only

Also can people on the previous group buy plese tell me if there was any issues as i have not heard of any as of date would be handy to correct in this next batch

Im in for a set for the ABY boost hoses, what prices are we talking about?

The price last time was £40.48 for full set of water and boost
And it was £19.80 for just boost postage to be added to above prices

Now these prices were in 2005 ( just feels like yesterday) i will have to confirm up to date prices

I'm up for a set of ABY boost hose clamps.

Right, having fitted / not fitted the last lot here goes:

The MAF hose clamp is too wide to fit properly and cannot be opened enough to make fitting easy.
The DV clamps are too tight to fit easily and are a bit large for the space provided.

The clamp nearest the TB is too wide, there are some restrictions here.

The rest fit but again are too large really, they don't sit in the grooves made to locate the clamp. It's the width that's the problem. If you can get them in the same width as the jubilee clips then you're in business.

Right have spoken to my contact and he is going to speak to a few suppliers and see what they offer regarding the problem of the mikalor clamps being a little to wide in certain areas, The guy reckons it should not be a problem so finger crossed

Rusty could you check and see what the clamp size of the tight ones are and let me know so i can update the list and i can order the next size up

They're tight when putting the thing together and then tighten down nicely...

The ones I've tried are

MAF - too tight
XC to hose - perfrect
Hose to pipe over engine, a little tight

DV ones are all too wide
TB boot to ISV pipes is a bit wide
TB boot to TB is too wide

There are a few that I didn't try after not getting too far with the other ones.

Ideally you need the same functionality as jubilee clips but with the more secure fastener

If they don't work then what's the point in having them. More than half the clips I got don't fit I'm afraid so best that others don't find out the same? The Mikalor ones are too wide for most of the places where there are rebaits in pipes etc. to seat the clip. Only turbo to pipe, XM to pipe and engine pipe to TB boot are OK, the rest aren't. Sorry
