I detailed a Porsche GT3 today and waxed it by hand using Zymol Destiny wax. I find it a lot easier.

Have they found something better than a sponge to stop getting small stones etc in it and scratching the paint

I think he is using a Zyml Sponge which is supposed to be special that the grit etc does not sit on the surface and glide across the paintwork. I know someone who had there RS4 detailed by Paul Dalton and said he was very good although as you can imagine expensive. There are detailers out there just as good but without the reputation and therefor the price tag.

his drying technique needs a little refinement T2andy would be a better man for the job, no disrespect to those amateur "detailers" out there

Paul Dalton is a bit of a celebrity due to this video and it regularly causes debates on detailingworld.co.uk - he seems like a decent enough guy though!

As for wax's, bit OTT really isnt it
