Look what a difference a day makes!!!

Here you go lads. Me and SteveT63 got bored last sunday, so decided to throw a spare 3B into his Audi 90 B2 Saloon.

We started about 9:30 to 10:00 when we drove it in and the 20v was running later that night. Here is a few pics sorry there was not many as we did'nt think there was much else to see inbetween cups of tea and cake.

Well the wiring was handled expertly by Brian. It took him about an hour and a half to install and it started first turn of the key!!....We had all the bits we needed, except for a new KV needle bearing for the crankshaft, so the box went in on the monday. The objective was to fit the engine without chopping the front out for the intercooler so as it looked pretty much stock when the bonnet was closed....I reckon we managed it ok.?

While Im on, a massive massive thanks to Brian for the inspiration, use of the workshop, his expertise and his downright refusal to stop work until we had finished as the day progressed!...also to Jonny and Ash England for there help and polishing skills. Just got to find somewhere to explore its performance envelope now!!......

And a poor quality video for you to look at but it gives you the general idea of what it sounds like. Without killing any of the local kids....

                      It makes me smile!!!

Yes for the time being, with a UR clutch. Not really sure how long it will last,, I suppose it depends on when I change gear!!!... but ive a feeling the car will just evolve now.
