Excellent work to all involved. I do hope you are successful.

Why not identify say one or two 'flagship/high profile' NLA items from say the quattro and the RS2 models to use as examples when responding to the Audi fob off referencing their German 7000 part site?

If they are not held and can't be sourced it does demonstrate the glaring problem?

The next issue is how to demonstrate the performance of the Alpinweiss (a ride has been requested <BEST BEHAVIOUR> ) when all around are 30 and 40 zones, loads of the 60s have been reduced and reduced so I now have to travel 5 miles or so to get to some 'open road'. I will have to see what time, energy and traffic allow...

need to get the part numbers but off my head on the 3b, the following parts are NLA:

                    5speed gearknob
                    Engine mounts
                    Cambelt upper cover
                    Drivers side engine mount protector
collets for the cam cover to fix to the head
                    sigpic

Right, one thread each please and post them up on NLA, part numbers can be found on the family album... I'll do some tidying once the threads are up.

Just been interviewed by a reporter from the Evening Post... I tried to avoid environmental issues and Audi's stance but I guess these things can slip out when you're off guard. I have asked to review the article from a technical perspective too, just to be sure.

'Environmental' is all about stance from what I can see.

Consider the vast amount of raw energy consumed in the manufacture of a new motorcar. Yes it may do far more miles per gallon than an older car and have better emissions, but overall the true net environmental scale tips in favour of maintaining older cars and not making new ones. From a financial economics POV yes new cars steal the show.
