I'd give my left nut for an RS4, love them but it would have to be Missano Red with some MTM bi-moto wheels in dark grey.

Don't worry Dave - if I do buy an S2 Avant - it won't be at the loss of an S2 Coupe. Just struggling with 2 doors and 2 kids somedays is a real pain - with exposed metal clips and wires and general shyte state of Coupe at the moment - not kiddie friendly.

Figuring if I have one car that I can drive then I can maybe focus on fixing the other. But then why buy an S2 Avant I hear everyone cry - it'll need umpteen hours of TLC and a gazillion pounds to keep on the road as well. WTF do I do it to myself ?

Yeah but living on the wrong island is sure a bitch for getting a decent deal on a car... No nipping down a motorway for a quick eyeball and a test drive... followed by a swift haggle and exchange of beer tokens.

There are some brilliant B-roads alright, and I sure don't miss the motorway hell of bank holidays that I'm sure lots of folk are stuck in right about now - but being a small island its pretty limiting sometimes for things to do with the family - seeing as the weather is so abissmally bad - you'd think there would be more places to take the kids, but there isn't.

And to think I got sick of the place about 12yrs ago and burgered off to see some of the world, develop my career and sow me oats... Quite how I ended up here again I dunno sometimes. Must have been a moment of weakness. Its not all bad though - just very limited horizons really.

The curious thing is I sometimes have an urge to live somewhere like Shetland - away from tinternet and the rat race... Bet I'd go stir crazy after a few months though... LOL
