I want to drop kick my gauge's!!!

Just spent the last 4 hours messing about fitting my plasma dials!!!!!!

Every other set I have fitted have gone in no worries. However tonight I fitted my new ones in about an hour. Put them back in the car and no rev counter......

So took them out and stripped them down again. Found that the tiny plastic bush on the needle was trapping it ever so slightly. Rebuilt them all fitted them back in the car. I have a rev counter working but not reading the correct RPM??? So in my frustration I hit the top of my dashbourd to watch the little plastic cap on the rev needle drop into the bottom of my clocks

Fudge it I'll sort it tomorrow.....

I fit mine last night and spent about seven hours doing my main gauges! it was like I was a surgeon doing an operation, I found the live for the headlights but I could'nt find a proper earth lead so I've taped it to the steering column, I've still got the aux gauges to do and I'm scared! you'll get there!

Did you take the needles out to fit the large two dials or just place them ontop of the old faces? If you took the needles off then make sure that are pushed back on the same distance and that none of the weights broke off when you took them off. I'm sure you would have noticed this bu**** odd that the rpm is now out.

        Good luck.

I took the faces off. But When the needles were replaced I think I bent the pin a little so it's catching inside the little plastic screw in bush inside the rpm unit. I opened it out a little last night with a very fine nozzle file but I think i need to open it a little more. I was just getting very tired and very irritated with it last night....
