Cant see why that would not work

Edit save yourself hassle i would jack up passenger side and undo filter connection and run pipe straight in to measuring container and get someone to hold pipe , put battery in the back of car have ignition off take off live feeds and just earth and live through battery ?

As the writer of that procedure, I would say, in principle, it should work for an S2 whether it be a 3B or ABY. The differences will be which fuse is the fuel pump fuse and where you will get the positive power from. On a C4 S4/S6, the battery is under the back seat so the gave us a + post on the cowl/bulkhead/firewall. You might be able to get power right from your battery if it is in/near the engine bay.

I would guess that 15 sec. of power should get you the same 675 mL.

Be careful with the hose and the container to catch the petrol.

S2 Fuel Pump Testing Procedure

I think the S2 Fuel Pump Testing Procedure is very similar to this one:

The differences are (I think) the S2 fuel pump fuse is No. 13. The fuel line connection and the 15 second volume are as shown below (from a 3B Engine Manual pdf that I have but can not find where I got it from):

Fuse plate under the bonnet is goosed?, check for water getting in and corrision ...Had the same problem lights staying on though and power going to the wrong places with switches been off (post 10)

Cool! Well anyway i just printed a hard copy of that on my garage. this will be a big help to those like me who wants to avoid expensive dealership repairs/ do it yourself things etc etc. this will be a lot easier to follow if you posted some pictures. anyways thanks again!
