TT week - Bikes of the Mountain

As you know, we took some rallyrep quattros over to the Isle of Man in April...

Sitting here and watching the TT footage puts the whole lot in perspective...

Have you clocked some of the figures from this years TT...?

McGuinness, before his bike let go...

    37.7 mile lap... Average, 131mph...
    17.12.23... Douglas to Douglas...
    Absolute Max... 231mph...

Fook me... that's just totally insane...

I doubt any car could match that...

Really enjoyed seeing the TT coverage on the box, felt sorry for McGuinness (same goes for Anstey earlier in the week, healthy lead on the last lap of a race covering over 220 miles and the thing lets go) ...fantastic footage and definitely not the sterile world of the Moto GP gang, who may be tough but the ones who take on the TT are in a different league in my eyes.

Maybe one day they will actually let cars have a go seeing as that was part of the original idea ...I'd rather like to see a prototype taking that on, a bit like the old Targa Florio where real sportscars took on serious road courses.
