    SO annoying!!

What could be more perfect? A quattro shell already stripped ready for S2 saloon conversion....

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=320386223626

So I sent an email seeing how much he would want for the bare shell after its stripped, and this is the reply, exactly as he typed it!

    sorry gonna squash it

If your serious i've already cut the mountings out of a 20v coupe as I did think about doing a s2 saloon project, then decided it wasn't worth it in the end so they are just sitting around.

So he wants to crush a perfectly good shell instead of putting it to use? Have you noticed his username on ebay? So ironic it's almost magnetic...

It might have been part of the new green incentive scheme. If so it has to be crushed.

I read that you could break them, but they would never be allowed back on the road.

The cars that go into the 'scrappage scheme' are able to be broken for parts.

plus that car has been out of tax since 2005 so probably won't have had an mot, which inturn means it wouldn't have been eligible for trading in

I've dealt with him before (not through ebay) and he seemed a decent guy, tried hard to help me out wouldn't be surprised if you got in touch direct not through ebay you mght have a better response, but by the sound of it your not really interested anyway?

I find some poeple (including me) are dismissive through ebay as can't be bother to deal with the average muppet / **** ebay memeber wasting my time.

Reason why it wasn't for sale is he is using it for a project of his own

It hasn't been squashed he decided to use it for a touring car style replica, already sporting s2 bumpers front/rear and soon to be ellipsoids and rs2 grille.
He's got loads of bits for it including some rare stuff i.e. competition front/rear lips and the raised sections for the rear spoiler.

Nice bloke as I chatted for a while with him, helped me out trying to find a problem with my mums car
nice setup he's got there as well, wish I had all that
