    New works van/race barge!

    Just bought this bobby dazzler!
    30062009106.jpg

Get this, 25000 miles from new! its mint! came with a 300 kg tail lift, sink and seating for six in the back!
Only thing is its not very fast... all runs sweet but not alot of go. I know it won't be speed machine but its got to pull a trailer with a race car on full of tools.
2.4 six cylinder diesel (my first diesel i have owned!) 88 shetland ponies!
Need to get some more torques, may be AEL injectors and turbo!
Would look very retro with a rally UR on the trailor!!
Any ideas on making abit more powerfull?
    Rob..

Looks like one quattronutter has so would be worth seeing if he's done any mods to his.

Its just trying to find mods that help without being too heavy on fuel (big turbo) or run out too quickly/impractical (nitrous)

is there much space under the bonnet/engine bay area

First is fab a tow bar, clutch is suspect.
              Power is deffo needed.
Might remove the tail lift, it lifts 300kgs so it must weigh 500kgs! Thats like five big sods in the back full time! like to keep it though as roll cab and compressor is so easy with it!
I want to take it to Silverstone a week tomorrow, saves messing the RS up and i can fit a full size stand up fridge in for the !.

The 6 pot is an indirect injection diesel (ID) not direct injection (Tdi) like the I5! So can't swop to the AEL injectors as its totally different design/construction. Perhaps a I5 transplant would be a good idea at a later stage. Guy round here has a T25 I think with 1.9tdi.

Right! I have never had anything to do with diesels! Thanks for that,

So AEL would be the best way, how do you get around the no throttle cable? or is it a case of fitting all the wiring/potentiometer? Shame the six pot is so crap. its like a swiss watch!
