Last night I was looking at my fusebox and 4 fuses had all the plastic melted! They are for the front lights and fog lights! Bit scary. All changed now, any suggestions for this happening? This morning I got in my car to find a fresh leak drivers side where the headliner meets the pillar cover down the side of the windscreen (it's an avant) not happy. Sunroof drain didn't have a puddle at the top either.
Corrosion on the fuse contacts could raise the resistance and cause heat, while the fuses wouldnt blow the heat could still be enough to melt the plastics.
Could happen again, or worse some dried leaves could be set alight by the heat.
