Watkins Glen 24/08/09

This is a question for our US cousins. Myself and Carly (Tronika) are flying into Boston on Monday (17th) and are driving around New England for a few days before spending a couple of days in Boston itself.

On the following Monday we will be around the Watkins Glen/Seneca Falls area and was wondering if anyone that side of the pond was around to maybe meet up or recommend some places to go/see. Obviously the race track is already on the list and I see there is an Audi Club meet there on the Monday when we are in the area. Is anyone going to that? We've missed the NASCAR by a fortnight unfortunately which is a pity as we would really have liked to get a chance to watch a race live (especially on a road course)

As we'll be travelling around the New England area any other recommendations will be gladly recieved.

Watkins Glen what a track

I've been there a couple of times. Great track and a beautiful area. Good memories, drove my S4 to GA without stopping except for petrol. Slept for two days afterward.

I stayed at the Seneca Lodge, which is a quicky little place reminiscent of early style motels and is located not far from the track. It almost feels like summer boys camp. Be sure to have a drink at the bar.
